Congratulations to the Miami Brewers – our REPEAT Open Division Champs!

Here is the Brewers first hand game summary:  

The Brewers matched again for the Championship with the Davie Tigers for the 2nd straight season. Sean Hernandez went the distance allowing 1 run on 2 hits with 7 K’s. The momentum keeper and 1st hightlight of the game came in the bottom of the 4th inning with 2 outs and runner on 3rd as George K singled up the middle for the 1st run of the game. Popeye Hernandez Sean’s father followed with a monster shot over the Right fielders head , George K looked at the Right fielder turn his back to him and never looked back again with a head 1st slide into home plate  for the 2nd run . That boosted the Brewers confident for the game and followed with a great defensive play in the top of the 6th inning when the Tigers were trying to get back in the game down 3-0. Men on 2nd & 3rd with no outs and infield half way in, grounder to Short Joey Kenhan threw a perfect strike to Popeye at home plate for the tag followed with a throwback to the pitcher Sean who saw the 1st base runner looking down and off the bag. Sean immediately made eye contact with Bengi Seda at 1st base threw and tag the runner out before he got back. That was the dagger to the Heart of the Tiger.Hats off to the Tigers on a great game played. Congratulations to the Brewers on their Back to back championships and 5th overall.
