In Game 1 of the Senior Division Semifinals, the Davie Tigers beat the Southern Yankees 12-4 at Sunset Park in Plantation to earn a trip to the Senior Division Championship Series. Coach Dave Carnevale was all smiles as were the Tigers, who had been on a mission this season. Hats off to the Southern Yankees and skipper Ray Asmar on a terrific season!
In Game 2 of the Senior Division Semifinals, the third seeded team, South Florida Beach Bums, surprised perennial power Miami Brewers with a 4-3 come from behind win at Cypress Bay in Weston. Bums coach, Charles Sano, says he finally had his full squad together with great results! Congratulations to skipper George Kenhan and his Miami Brewers on another post season run. Seems like the Brewers are always in the hunt for post season glory.
So now, we match up the South Florida Beach Bums against the Davie Tigers in the upcoming Senior Division Championship Series! The best of three contest will start Sunday October 26 at Cypress Bay High in Weston. Get ready to rumble.
