D-Backs get knocked out
by Dade Diamondbacks (Senior Division)
It was a hot afternoon at Cypress Bay High School. The Reds scored a run in the 1st, but The D-Backs answered with a run in the 2nd for a 1-1 game. The scrappy Reds would add 2 runs in the 3rd, 1 in the 4th and 3 in the 5th to lead 7-1. The D-Backs would plate 2 runs in the 7th to close the gap to 7-3. The Reds would go on to score 6 runs in the 7th to end the game with a 13-3 final score. The D-Backs offense was stuck in neutral, totaling only 3 hits on the day. Jay Habacht pitched 5 innings, giving up 3 earned runs. Good game to the upstart Reds.

BlackBats are back coming back in great form!!
by Miami Black Bats (Senior Division)
After been losing 6 to none, the blackbats rebounded a shaky defense to fight a great game against the Cards. Game move both ways to be decided in the last inning with a wild pitch. Wilmer had a great game not allowing ER in 6 innings and having 2 hits, 2 walks, 2 RBIs & 2 runs. Oscar also had a great game with 3 hits and 1 BB with 2 RBIs. Pablo had another 3 day hit & Daniel, Grua & Mello had 2 hits each to complete the feast. Ichiro stole 2 bases and scored 3 runs to complete this wild game with a WIN 10 to 9.

Brewers definitely came to play and showed their veteran leadership. Sean pitched a great game and held the Monarchs from sparking any offense. We look forward to seeing them again in the playoffs.

Brewers put on the big boy pants against the tough Monarchs team. The Offense got off to a great start putting pressure on the monarchs throughout the game and Sean Hernandez continues to come on strong with another brilliant performance. 7 IP, 7 H , 7 K. On the offensive side Bryan Probst hit a monster 2 run HR to Left center. Always fun to play the Monarchs. Congrats to the Brew Crew on a great day at the Park!

Summer Slugfest ends after both sides take best shot
by Southern Yankees (Senior Division)
The Southern Yankees outslugged the battling Deerfield White Sox 19-15 after both sides traded early & late blows in a see-saw game. The Southern Yankees jumped out to an early 4 zip lead after 2 innings. After scoring 5 runs in the fIFTH frame the Yanks led 10-2 and were cruising behing the stellar pitching of Franklin Brito. But the resilient Deerfield White Sox and there young squad of sluggers battled back and erupted for 11 runs in the bottom of the 7th. With that outburst the White Sox stormed back from a 13-4 deficit to take the lead 15-13 heading into the 8th. The Southern Yankees offensive machine answered the bell by coming back with 6 runs and retook the lead 19-15 late. Hector Perez came on to put out the fire after a valiant performance by starter Brito who had developed a blister on his pitching finger. So the Yankees held on and won in an exciting game once again as every contest has been this season. HATS OFF to manager Steve Wulf & his talented group of ballplayers who battled throughout and made it an intersting contest. Reidy Oliva and Kenny Silberling led the Yankees attack with 3 hits apiece & Sam Bartoletta and Hector Perez both stroked two hits . Bartoletta, Perez, Silberling, Frank Crupi, Ray Asmar, and JerRy Wichert all led the balanced Southern Yankees attack with 2 RBI each. All in all the Yankees stroked 15 hits, took advantage of 10 free passes, stole 5 bases and only stuck out 3 times. Putting the ball in play makes all the difference as it showed with sloppy play at times on both sides. Once again we look forward to next weeks contest & the return of many of ouR talented players to the BALLfield.. iN SUMMARY it was a great game with lots of action. We are getting exposed to numerous baseball scenarios which will help us in future contests. STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS!

After a month-long rain delay, Yanks came out to play some pretty good baseball (for the most part). Big key plays & timely hitting made it very exciting & fun. We still need to work on execution, we had 13 LOB. Kudos to Luis (2for4, RBI & a tremendous CF catch), Alex (2for4 & 7IP, 0ER, 3K), Albie (2for3, BB), Mikey (2for4, 3B) plus 2RBIs each for Alan & Mark. As always, good game Nationals.

The Palm Beach Angels of Coconut Creek took over sole possession of first place in the Master’s Division behind the complete game effort of ace Rick Cabello as the Halos defeated the two time defending champion Miramar Rangers, 15-10. Cabello also contributed three hits. Claude Love hit a tiebreaking home run to lead off the bottom of the seventh that put the Seraphs in front for good.
